KYC Policy (Know Your Customer)
KYC is the identity check a licensed operator runs on its players. GiroReal does not do KYC. We hold no accounts, funds or identity documents. Every check described here is done by the operator you sign up with.
Why operators ask
- To confirm you are old enough to gamble.
- To meet anti-money-laundering (AML) rules that licensed operators must follow.
- To make sure the person withdrawing is the person who owns the account, which helps prevent fraud.
What operators commonly ask for
- Photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence.
- Proof of address, such as a recent utility bill or bank statement.
- Proof of the payment method, such as a card photo with the middle digits hidden.
- In some cases, information about the source of funds.
Requirements differ by operator, licence and country. Check the operator's own terms for its exact list.
When it happens
Many operators let you deposit first and ask for documents before your first withdrawal. Some ask at sign-up. Sending documents early can avoid a delay when you want to cash out. Our payout checks note when an operator requires verification before a first withdrawal.
Protecting your documents
- Only upload documents inside the operator's own account area or its official support channel.
- Be wary of anyone who asks for ID by email or social media.
- Read the operator's privacy policy to see how it stores your documents.
